If Memory Serves Me is a series of images that intertwines 35mm negatives of mine from 20–30 years ago with strips of fire imagery, creating layered compositions that are then re-photographed. Every image is made entirely in-camera. Drawing on themes of memory, loss, and rebirth, the series asks: What must be relinquished—or burned away—from our past selves to make space for who we are becoming?
